Deep Fried Oreos Recipe

Oil for fryingturkey-fryer-deep-fried-oreos
1 large egg
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 cup pancake mix
18 ounce package cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies

Heat oil in indoor deep fryer to 375 degrees F.

Mix thoroughly the egg milk, and vegetable oil in a bowl until it is smooth. Stir in the pancake mix until there are no lumps. Dip the chocolate cookies into the batter one at a time to coat completely.

Place the cookies carefully one at a time into the fryer. Fry only a few at a time to avoid sticking together. Fry for approximately 2 minutes or until the outside is golden brown. Remove from oil carefully using the basket or a tongs.

Place the cookies on a plate with a paper towel to drain the oil and cool before eating.

what type of oil do you recommend for frying this sweet desert? We love our fryer!

We would recommend using peanut oil. Not only does it have a high smoke point but being able to cook things at a high temperature keeps the oils from getting absorbed in the food. This will also keep the flavor of your dessert more appealing.

Secondly, peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils to use (not that that matter when you’re making dessert!) and it does not transfer the flavors of other foods if you choose to use it more than once.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your fryer!

Where can I get the recipe book that goes with the Butterball Turkey Fryer. I purchased mine in store in 2010 and it did not have the recipe DVD with it.
